AirIntegrated Avionics and Mission SystemsLeveraging off of its advanced displays, navigation and computers experience, Astronautics has developed and fielded integrated avionics and mission system solutions on many civil and military aircraft production and upgrade programs. Serving as a prime contractor, Astronautics has provided modification, hardware installations, and software integration for such aircraft as the C-130, P-3, UH-1, 747, DC-10, and many others. Astronautics' cockpit modernization solutions replace aging and obsolete equipment to provide full Communication, Navigation, Surveillance and Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) capabilities as well as improved mission functions. This experience, plus interface design, systems integration, and certification experience for such aircraft, has resulted Astronautics being recognized as a leader in complete avionic upgrades. Electronic Flight BagAstronautics is the world leader in the design, development, certification, and production of Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) (as well as Tactical Flight Bag (TFB) for military applications) for multiple aircraft types, including both Boeing and Airbus aircraft, with multiple configurations in production for customers around the world. Our EFBs and TFBs are available in varying processor, operating system, interface, and display size configurations. DisplaysAstronautics has developed the world’s most diversified array of airborne avionics displays consisting of “smart”, video only, and smart with video configurations for both civil and military applications. These displays are flying worldwide on all aircraft types, including displays for trainers, fighters, helicopters, special purpose, and transport aircraft. The displays are available in a variety of sizes and in both landscape and portrait configurations with many configurable electronic interface options. These interfaces include analog and digital video, ethernet/gigabit ethernet/AFDX, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, ARINC-453/708, analog, discrete, synchro, and serial interfaces. ComputersAstronautics produces a wide variety of airborne computer systems. These include Network Server Systems, Core Processors, Mission and Display Processors, Engine Data Concentrator Units, Signal Conversion Units, Air Data Computers and Flight Director Computers. These computers are installed in military and commercial aircraft. Astronautics Mission Computers fly on board the T-38, AC-130U, F-5, EF-111, Mirage, Kfir, and many other aircraft. Our Network Server applications can be found on the A-300, MD-11, A-400, and many other aircraft. Our Engine Data Concentrators and Interface units have been provided for the E-3 AWACS, C-130, PC-9, UH-1, and many other aircraft. Astronautics has provided the Flight Director Computers for many existing and legacy military aircraft including the C-141 Starlifter, F-4 Phantom, MB 326 (Macchi), UH-60/S-70 Blackhawk, A-10A Thunderbolt, C/HC-130E/K Hercules, F-5E Freedom Fighter, MB 339 (Macchi), S-76, AS-61N Sea King, CP-140 Aurora, F-104 Star Fighter, MD-500, UH-1 Iroquois, B-206 (Bell), E-3A AWACS, F/FB/EF-111A/D, MH-53E Sea Stallion, B-212 (Bell), IA-63 (Dornier), T-38, and P-3C/P Orion and others. Flight ControlsAstronautics has designed, developed, certified, and produced flight control systems for helicopters, aircraft, and unmanned vehicles. Such products include autopilots, pitch and roll actuators, and yaw stability systems for helicopters, as well as flap control systems and actuators for aircraft. Navigation SystemsIn support of unmanned vehicles, missiles and aircraft, Astronautics has developed both actuators and inertial navigation systems with an integrated Global Positioning System to navigate thousands of aircraft around the world. Primary Flight InstrumentsAstronautics is one of the world's largest producer of primary flight instruments with more than 175,000 such instruments operationally fielded. These include electromechanical Attitude Indicators, Attitude Director Indicators, Horizontal Situation Indicators, and Bearing Distance Head Indicators. Astronautics continues to produce and provide full maintenance support for these instruments. Astronautics is now also in large scale production of electronic primary flight instruments. |
